What makes you an expert in all this?

I have a solid background in business (including start-ups), online and social media marketing, and coaching. I’ve helped authors develop their brand and build their platform, and I’ve also assisted authors in successfully making the change from traditional publishing to self publishing. Please see my About page for more details.

How can I get started?

If you are interested in getting help with building your author brand and author platform, please contact me so we can set up a convenient time for a complimentary 20 minute Skype consultation so I can find out a little more about your work and the areas you want to work on. It’s also a good way for you to decide whether this is right for you. *Please note that I am not taking on new clients for major projects at the moment, as I have my plate full for the next couple of months. I am, however, taking on clients for my Monthly Mentoring Program. I will also be running an online course starting in January to help you build your online platform.*

Where are your prices?

I prefer to create personalized packages for each client, rather than cookie-cutter solutions, and I’d rather not provide a quote until I know exactly what you need help with. However, I know it’s frustrating when a website doesn’t include clear fees for each service that’s provided, so I’ve set up some sample packages, which you can find on my Packages page.

Do you ever guest post for other blogs? And can I write a guest post for the Tribal Publishing blog?

Yes, and yes! Please contact me if you’re interested in having me write a guest post for your blog. If you’re interested in writing for us, please see our Guest Post Policy.

Where are you based?

I’m generally based in the UK, and most of my communication with clients is via email or Skype, unless we agree otherwise.

What’s with the weird spelling? Aren’t you in the UK?

Yes! I am currently based in the UK, but I was born and raised in California, hence the US spelling on this website. Most of my clients, however, are from the UK, and I am happy to use either UK English or US English when I’m setting up your accounts or preparing your online marketing plan.

And why do you sometimes say “I” and sometimes “we”?

I tend to refer to myself in the first person when I’m talking about me, Holly Worton, and in the third person when talking about Tribal Publishing. It’s not just me at Tribal, but I’m the one who does most of the front-end work, if that makes sense.

Do you speak any other languages? I may feel more comfortable in my native language.

Yes! I lived and worked in Latin America for several years and I speak and write fluent Spanish. I can work with clients in both English and Spanish, so please let me know if you prefer Spanish.
